KMU conducts MDCAT

KMU will conduct MDCAT in the 07 regions in KPK

The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) has announced that the MDCAT-2024 Examination will be conducted across Pakistan, including Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan, on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

 

This examination is mandatory requirement for admission into public and private medical and dental colleges. Students shall have register themselves on the official website of PM&DC starting from 5th August which will close on Monday, August 19th, 2024.

 

The test shall be conducted through the designated specific universities as admitting universities responsible for conduction of MDCAT 2024. For KPK, Khyber Medical University (KMU) has been declared as the admitting university. It will handle the centralized admission process for both public and private medical and dental colleges within the province.

 

In line with the guidance of the KPK Government and PM&DC, the paper-based exam will be simultaneously conducted by KMU in seven regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Abbottabad, Swat, D.I.Khan and Dir Lower.

 

To discuss these directives and ensure meticulous planning and execution, a special meeting was held recently, chaired by Vice Chancellor KMU Prof Dr. Zia Ul Haq. The meeting focused on the directives from PM&DC and the Provincial Government, which emphasized the importance of thorough planning and efficient execution to uphold high standards of transparency in the MDCAT examination process.

 

During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor briefed the participants on the necessary arrangements, logistics, and timelines. He also sought their input and suggestions to ensure the successful and fair conduct of the MDCAT-2024 examination.

 

MDCAT 2024 Syllabus 

 

The PM&DC has decided that the syllabus for the MDCAT will be uploaded shortly on the PM&DC website and the registration portal will also be opened for the registrations from 5th of August 2024. To facilitate the students the Council has decided not to change the syllabus so the MDCAT syllabus will remain unchanged and will be the same as last year.
