PM&DC Announces MDCAT 2024 Registration Dates

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has officially announced the registration dates for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024. According to the public notice published in major dailies, the registration will open from Monday, August 5th, 2024, and will close on Monday, August 19th, 2024.

  • Opening Date: Monday, August 5th, 2024

2. Registration Fee:

  • The registration fee for MDCAT 2024 ( For Exam in Pakistan) is set as Rs. 8,000/-. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid during the registration process.
  • The registration fee for MDCAT 2024 (For International Exam Centers) is set as Rs. 12,000/-. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid during the registration process.

 

Admitting Universities: The PM&DC has designated specific universities as admitting institutions responsible for conducting the MDCAT 2024. These universities will oversee the examination process, including registration, scheduling, and administration of the test. Here are the admitting universities for MDCAT 2024:

 

  1. Khyber Medical University (KMU), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): KMU has been declared the admitting university for KPK. It will handle the centralized admission process for both public and private medical and dental colleges within the province.
  2. University of Health Sciences (UHS), Punjab: UHS will manage the MDCAT for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges in Punjab.
  3. Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Sindh: DUHS is responsible for conducting the MDCAT for candidates in Sindh.
  4. Boland University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS), Balochistan: BUMHS will oversee the MDCAT for students in Balochistan.
  5. Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), Islamabad: SZABMU will manage the MDCAT for candidates in the Islamabad Capital Territory.
  6. Karakoram International University Gilgit (KIU): KIU is designated for conducting the MDCAT for students in that region.

 

How to Register?

  1. Online Registration:
    • Candidates must visit the official PM&DC website or the respective admitting university's website to complete the online registration form.
    • Fill in all required personal and academic information accurately.
    • Upload necessary documents, including a recent passport-sized photograph, CNIC/B-Form, and educational certificates.
  2. Payment of Fee:
    • Pay the registration fee of PKR 8,000 through the provided payment methods. Payment can typically be made via bank challan, online banking, or other specified channels.
  3. Confirmation:
    • After successful registration and payment, candidates will receive a confirmation email or message with their registration details and further instructions.
